Your extraordinary journey into Bhutan begins with a breathtaking flight, offering magnificent views of the Himalayan peaks. As you land in Paro, you’ll witness the beauty of this Himalayan kingdom. After clearing immigration formalities, our representative will warmly welcome you at Paro airport. You will then proceed to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital, where tradition and modernity coexist. Check in at your hotel for the night.

In Thimphu, your second day unfolds with visits to captivating sites. Explore the National Library and the Folk Heritage Museum, providing insights into Bhutanese culture and life. The National Library boasts a collection of ancient Buddhist texts, manuscripts, and modern academic works on Himalayan culture. The Textile and Folk Heritage Museum showcases traditional Bhutanese living, featuring exquisite craftsmanship in everyday objects, tools, and equipment. Your day continues with a visit to the National Memorial Chorten, Trashi Chho Dzong, and the Handicrafts Emporium. Each of these places contributes to understanding Bhutan’s rich culture and traditions.

After an early start, embark on a scenic drive to Trongsa via Dochu-la pass. Along the way, be captivated by views of Bhutan’s highest peaks and lush valleys. You’ll descend to Wangduephodrang valley for lunch and pass Pele-la, a significant point where the landscape changes. Make a stop at Chendebji Chorten en route. In Trongsa, visit the grand Trongsa Dzong, the largest fortress in Bhutan. Check in at your lodge for the night.

Begin your day with a visit to Trongsa Dzong, an impressive structure that has served as the seat of power for central and eastern Bhutan. Afterward, continue your journey to Bumthang. The road passes through magnificent landscapes, offering remarkable views. In Bumthang, discover the four main valleys of Ura, Chumey, Tang, and Choekhor, each known for its ancient temples and monasteries. Visit Kurje Lhakhang, Jambey Lhakhang, Tamshing Lhakhang, and Jakar Dzong. Explore the village and the handicrafts shop before a comfortable night’s rest.

Today, delve deeper into the four valleys of Bumthang—Ura, Chumey, Tang, and Choekhor. Explore sacred sites such as Kurje Lhakhang, Jambey Lhakhang, Tamshing Lhakhang, and Jakar Dzong, each steeped in history. Don’t miss the local market for authentic experiences. Retreat to your lodge for the night.

Your journey takes you to the picturesque Phobjikha Valley via the tranquil Gangtey Monastery, established in the 17th century. This valley serves as the winter refuge for black-necked cranes, migrating from Tibet. Spend the night in Gangtey/Phobjikha.

After breakfast, proceed to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan. In the afternoon, visit Punakha Dzong, the second oldest and one of the most magnificent fortresses in Bhutan. Explore the newly built Khamsum Yulley Namgyel Chorten before settling into your hotel in Punakha/Wangduephodrang.

Return to Paro and visit the historic Semtokha Dzong. Then, explore the National Museum at Ta Dzong, stroll to Rinpung Dzong, and dive into Paro’s culture. Enjoy a night at your Paro hotel.

This day is dedicated to the remarkable Taktsang Monastery, also known as Tiger’s Nest. The challenging hike offers breathtaking views and an opportunity to explore this iconic site. Afterward, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest and most sacred temples. Relax at your Paro hotel.

Bid farewell to Bhutan as you depart from Paro and head to the airport for your onward flight, marking the conclusion of your Himalayan adventure.
